One or two colleagues looked over my shoulder as I was keeping my picture diary and suggested that I share it further a-field. In order to do this I have written to each and every person who wrote anything in my diary and asked their permission to republish in a more public forum. I also have asked the hosts of the private forum where this account originally appeared. I am pleased to say that I have had 100% agreement to this. Without this consent I could not morally have published this and without the interplay with others that took place my account would have been the poorer. There were around 200 people following my virtual diary none of whom know me in the real world. Throughout this account there is "another story" that occasionally rises to the surface. Those who know me may spot this (watch out for the red asterisks). That is all I will say on the subject nothing more will be written. I am pleased I kept this account and it is a very rich experience to go back through the images that represent a year (well almost) in my life. I hope this presentation may encourage others to have a go at doing the same this. It is quite a commitment but it is also very rewarding.

27-SEP-2003 I started to keep an image diary in a private online
community. The plan was that I would post an image each day for a whole
year that would depict my life and the people and places that passed
through it. I didn't manage the whole 365. I was not conscious of
stopping it just petered out. It was quite a commitment and I think it
became a bit of an obsession, certainly my wife thought so.
