The Straad Players

I was contacted by a guy interested in the movie "Skinningrove - Welcome to The Future.

He asked where the movie was shot so I sent him a link. I met Taran Rampersad "in world" and told him about the Skinningrove project and showed the location of the Skinningrove shoot. Call me a saddo but it was quite exciting to be interviewed on set like some kind of movie mogul. Then Taran said he was going to get a few shots and promptly turned into a penguin. I asked him why and he said that being a small penguin avaar meant it did not get in the way of the screen shots. What a great idea, I'll use that technique for shooting Machinima. Now I know what to do with that Duck outfit I was conned into buying.

I took a small group on a tour last night - Only two people operated avatars the rest just looked on (we were all in the same RL room on 3 laptops. It was great fun. The two women operating avatars were 64 and 79 years old. Below is a pic of the three of us relaxing after our tour.

I discovered a hidden valley/clearing on Sea Turtle Island. The picture below doesn't really do it justice. This would be a great spot to develop some storylines. The owner of the island has given me access rights to "Straad" Valley which will help develop things.

Tomkel Tomorrow has joined the company. He has a great track record in RL so lets see how he gets on with our virtual touring company. Tomkel already turned in a story synopsis so it looks good for the future. Hey, you're only as good as your material!
