The Game by Diana Wynne Jones is an amazing book, overflowing with magic and mystery from the word go.

This book tells a story of a girl called Hayley who is packed off to her rather eccentric Irish relatives after upsetting her uptight Grandma, even though she has no idea what she has done to deserve being shipped off to Ireland.

But soon she starts to enjoy herself and starts to explore the world that her Grandma was so afraid of. But what she doesn't realise is that this world was the reason why her parents weren't there.

This a pretty good book with lots of twists and turns along the way, drawing you in and holding your attention all the way through. This is a good book and I give it a 7 out of 10. But don't worry if this isn't the book for you.
